 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR BAR PART II ADMISSION APPLICATION

           

OCTOBER 2010/2011 ACADEMIC SESSION

                        Print, read and strictly follow these instructions in completing the application form

 

1.      Confirm from your faculty that your data were sent to the Nigerian Law School among eligible applicants.

2.      Go to any branch of Zenith Bank, pay (N15, 000.00) and get a PIN (Confirmation Order) for Application.

3.      Read through this instruction page carefully, then click on Apply Here and select Bar II Application.

  1. Select your university, search for your name and click on it.
  2. Follow the steps, complete and submit the online application form.
  3. Print a copy of your submitted online form and execute the Jurat.
  4. Download and print blank copies of forms B, B1 and B2.

8.      Submit Form A1, and Form B (Faculty Ref. Form) to the Dean of your Law Faculty, who is to complete Form B, and return forms to the Law School.

Downloaded copies of Employer’s Reference Form B1 and Letter of release, Form B2 are to be completed by the applicant’s employer if he/she has been in regular employment for a period of not less than one year immediately preceding the time of application, and in any other case by his/her last employer to whom he/she has given at least one year of continued service, and forwarded as indicated in the form

 

      GRADUATES FROM FOREIGN UNIVERSITIES.

Students from Non-Nigerian Universities will be required to have attended and successfully completed the Bar Part I Course according to Council’s regulation before they become eligible for admission to the Nigerian Law School for the Bar Part II course.

 

Approved re-admission candidates and Cleared Referred Cases are to check their names under re-admission list before proceeding to pay application fees.

           

      CLOSING DATE OF APPLICATIONS FOR ADMISSION AND REFERNCES:

All application forms together with references on applicants must be completed and returned to reach the office of (Secretary to the Council of Legal Education/Director of Administration, NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL, HEADQUARTERS, BWARI, P.M.B 170, GARKI, ABUJA, NIGERIA) on or before Friday August 13th, 2010. It is the duty of applicants to ensure their referees comply with this date. Applications and references received later than the deadline stipulated will not be entertained. Request for concessionary posting on medical grounds will only be considered if supported by medical report. In the case of married women, marriage certificate must be attached.

A.     CHECKING ADMISSION STATUS

Use your Application Number to Check Admission Status on the portal from 7th October, 2010.

              

B.     Check the portal for instructions on How to Pay school fees.

 

C.     The Nigerian Law School has its headquarters in Abuja and three campuses in Lagos, Enugu and Kano.

      The school reserves the right to post you to any of the campuses after taking all circumstances into

       consideration. There is no provision for reposting online.

                   

D.    COMMENCEMENT OF SESSION:

               The session will commence on 25th October, 2010. The training course at the Law School is full-time. No student is allowed to undertake any gainful or other form of employment or business during the course. A breach of this rule will lead to expulsion from the School and may result in a permanent disqualification for admission. Students in gainful employment or business are advised to obtain leave of absence/study leave from their employers before the commencement of the course.
